Open box means products have been previously opened and possibly used or handled, but are still in new or very near-new condition. These items are typically returned to the retailer for change of mind, or could be open box just because the original packaging was damaged. They come with all original packaging and accessories.

Partial Accessories means the same as Open Box, except there may not be any or all of the different sized silicone earbuds normally included. The USB-C charging cable may also have been replaced.

Like New means the the Buds+ are in new or very near-new condition but come in GoodTech packaging. They come with a charging cable but no different sized silicone earbuds.

At GoodTech we specialise in top quality pre-owned devices. We also supply brand new clearance stock and open box units (which are basically new). These are the different ways we grade our devices for sale:

BRAND NEW on occasion we have access to clearance stock for brand new units. These models will come in original packaging and come with full manufacturer warranties.

OPEN BOX means the phone comes in its original packaging and accessories. It has been opened and returned by the original customer within 30 days of purchase and is essentialy a brand new device. Their change of mind is your chance to save a bundle on a new device. The packaging may show some wear however the units should be pristine.

1 - LIKE NEW means the product is mint or very close to mint 'like new' condition. It should have no easily distinguishable marks or blemishes and you should struggle to see any difference from a new device.

2 - VERY GOOD means the product is close to like new condition. It should have a few blemishes such as one or two nicks on the rim but otherwise looks close to new. There may be light mark/s visible when tilting the screen to the light. If the frame is totally mint we may allow a little more marking on the screen.

3 - GOOD means that the product has some reasonable wear or blemishing such as a number of nicks or signs of previous use around the framing or back of the device. It is 100% functional and the screen shouldn't have scratches which affect your viewing performance. These devices are still in good condition and any wear should be cosmetic only (i.e. they don't affect the performance of the device).

No Touch ID / No Face ID means the Apple fingerprint or face security acccess feature is not working, but the device is otherwise 100% functional. This indicates the home button or screen has been replaced. Due to how Apple configures these features, replacing the home button or screen may disable the service and cannot be restored.

Screen Shadow means the device has light signs of previous screen imagery such as the keayboard or menu icons visible when the screen is white or mono-coloured. This is due to the manufacture process for OLED screens and the device is otherwise 100% functional. It shouldn't get much worse and should not interrupt most activities such as playing games or videos or browsing the internet.

For all pre-owned or refurbished devices, excluding watches and earphones, we include a new wall adaptor and cable. For watches and earphones we include a new cable only.

On occasion we may supply accessories which look different to the photos but will function exactly the same.

SHIPPING

Shipping is $5.95 nationwide for everything except iPads and Laptops which are $8.95.

We use CourierPost for next business day delivery to most of New Zealand (although sometimes it takes the courier a little longer). If we receive your completed order by 1pm on a week day (not public holiday) we will do our best to ship it that day. It may take longer to ship your order after weekends and public holidays due to high volume processing. If you have a rural address it may take an extra day or so to be delivered also.

Once your device has shipped we'll send you tracking details so you can keep an eye on it and know when it will be delivered. Tracking details as well as the GST invoice will be sent in the afternoon each business day.

30 DAY RETURN

We offer a 30-day, no questions asked return policy on any pre-owned product we sell (excludes new product), provided it is returned in its original condition. We carefully inspect your order prior to shipment to ensure it reaches you in the condition you expect. Upon receipt, please inspect your purchase and notify us of any issues. Please note the 30 day return does not apply for brand new products such as cases or devices labled as brand new.

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us anytime at service@goodtech.co.nz or call us on 09 972 9083 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (except holidays).

Product returns where there is not a fault may be subject to a handling and restocking cost of $20.

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 3 business days of receipt of the returned product by our team.

12 MONTH WARRANTY

If there seems to be a hardware related problem with your device within the first 12 months of your purchase, simply get in touch with us and we will work with you to resolve the issue. If the device needs to be returned and is within the first 30 days of purchase, we will email you a pre-paid courier label. If it is more than 30 days since the purchase you will be responsible for the cost of couriering the device back to us. Once we have validated the issue we will either fix your device or issue you a replacement. We will only issue a refund if we are unable to repair the device or replace it with a like model.

Please be careful with your device. If there is evidence of water damage or excessive wear and tear this may void your warranty. For example, if there is clear evidence that the device has been dropped, such as a broken screen and/or gouge marks where it connected with a hard surface, this may void your warranty.

Please DO NOT attempt to repair or try to unlock it yourself or take it to a third party for repair without first contacting us. This will void your warranty. We do not reimburse for third party repairs or purchases without express authorisation.

Internet Banking

If you wish to pay by internet banking, please choose the POLi payment option at checkout.

Credit Cards

We accept all major credit cards. Due to the high rate of fraud in this industry we may ask you for further payment verification information after your payment has gone through.

Layby

If you'd like to purchase via layby, please use either Afterpay or Laybuy.

In-store

We also accept cash or eftpos if you come in to purchase at our store in Grey Lynn.
